The Masters School

The Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, NY seeks a talented and highly organized full-time Director of Human Resources.? Reporting to the Director of Business and Finance, the Director of Human Resources will define, develop, and implement a fully integrated HR strategy specific to the School?s operations and create an infrastructure for the effective delivery of HR services.? This new role will help to translate institutional priorities into personnel strategies and provide leadership in recommending HR guidelines, policies, and practices. The Director of HR will manage all aspects of ongoing HR activities including recruitment, leadership development, workforce planning, performance management, compensation, benefits administration, regulatory compliance, employee and labor relations, and communications.

The successful candidate must have a demonstrated track record as a human resources professional with expertise in relationship management with staff and colleagues; excellent management and organizational skills and the ability to lead change.? The ideal candidate must have the ability to maintain the highest degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and diplomacy; must be able to work collaboratively and build relationships throughout the organization; and must be committed to the mission of the School.? In addition, we require 15 years of broad-based HR experience; a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources or Organizational Development; demonstrated knowledge of employment regulations and best practices; exceptional communication and problem solving skills; and strong computing skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
